Safeguarding
Langwathby C of E School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and parents to share this commitment.
We have an number of policies in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment and follow the guidance given in the DfE document 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'.
Keeping Children Safe in Education
"Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyones responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children" (Keeping Children Safe in Education)
Our designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Sally Hay (Headteacher) and our Deputy Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Christie Love (Deputy Headteacher). The Governor with responsibility for Safeguarding is Ms Gudrun Ravetz.
