Phonics Screening Check
Children in Year 1 throughout the country will be taking part in a phonics screening check in the week commencing June the 10th 2024. Children in Year 2 will also re-take the check if they did not achieve the required standard in Year 1.

There are lots of interactive games online that can make practicing fun. The Phonics Play website is a fun way to prepare for the check. Select phases 4 and 5 on the games below to practice blending and sorting both real and pseudo words.
