Mission Community Links

We enjoy close links to our local church and mission community and are blessed to have clergy-led collective worship every Wednesday. We enjoy regular worship in our village church (St. Peter's) and welcome John and Kathleen the church wardens into school to support our Worship Council Meetings.

Last year our choir enjoyed singing at the Christmas Tree festival and we were honoured to be invited to take part in a special Mothering Sunday Service which John Sentamu, the Bishop of York, attended. Harvey was delighted to help the Bishop to deliver his sermon!

Godly Play

In addition to this we are developing links with our local Godly Play team, who provide us with regular Godly Play sessions. If you wish to learn more about Godly Play follow the link below to watch an introductory video.

Prayer Spaces - NISCU

We are also developing our understanding of prayer and introducing 'pop-up' prayer baskets to compliment our designated prayer space - The Sanctuary. Ruth Evans from NISCU (Northern Inter-School Christian Union) is supporting our Worship Council in this work. We have recently re-written the Lords Prayer in our own words and enjoyed a two day prayer space event.

Messy Church

Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. If you want to spend some quality time with your family, develop your faith or meet other local families then why not give it a go!

Sessions take place in Langwathby Village Hall  on the second Saturday of each month - 10.30-12.30
