Phonics

At Langwathby, we strive to ensure all children become successful, fluent readers by the end of Key Stage 1 through focused, targeted phonic teaching. 

We use Twinkl Phonics and practical resourcing to inform our provision of consistent, systematic, high quality synthetic phonics lessons. Our approach ensures that pupils receive tailored responsive teaching in smaller groups, through daily sessions as well as booster and one to one support.
