Music

At Langwathby C of E Primary School will use the Charanga Musical School Scheme to provide teachers with week-by-week lessons for each class. This scheme is ideal for specialist and non-specialist teachers and provides lesson plans, assessment, clear progression, and engaging and exciting whiteboard resources for every lesson. 

We want our Music curriculum to be inspiring and ambitious and so in Sept 2022 we moved from the original scheme to the English Model Music Curriculum (MMC).  Our Year A and B Long Term Overviews can be viewed below. 

Our mixed aged classes complete units from both year groups within the class. The rolling program ensures that all units/content are taught/covered within the Key Stage.
