At Langwathby School we are proud of the varied and exciting PE curriculum we offer the children. As well as the traditional sports we also like to give the children the experience of new and different sports. In recent years these have included cycling and lacrosse. We are also keen for as many as our children as possible to represent our school in sporting competitions and festivals through out their time at Langwathby School. These include Athletics, Swimming, Cross Country, Tri-Golf and Rounders. We also work with many outside coaches to give the children access to high quality coaching in a variety of sports.
KS1 Basic Moves
During the Spring term we will be taking part in a number of sporting competitions organised by Eden Valley Sports Partnership and local schools and sporting organisations. Children from across the school will be able to represent Langwathby School at these events. These include: Y3/4 Indoor Cricket, Y3/4 Quicksticks Hockey, Key Stage 2 Swimming Gala, Sedbergh Cross Country and Hunter Hall Cross Country. Children in Kingfishers and Badgers are also receiving coaching from a gymnastics coach who is working with each class for a session a week. Running club is also continuing this term and is being run by Mrs Monkhouse.
